“A Slow Decay”

This project is about the juxtaposition of life and death, the beautiful and the ugly, the naked human form and the dirty, chaotic nature of abandoned spaces. The collision of something beautiful and something ‘ugly’ creates jarring images full of tension and mystery. This series is about breathing new life into old and forgotten places and appreciate them as the beautiful remnants and reminders of life that they are, while also viewing the nude form and knowing that one day our bodies will also be old and forgotten and that we need to appreciate life in every form that it has to offer.
